Makayla is Crawling...and Dancing!

When I picked up Makayla from daycare on Tuesday, they told me that she had been crawling all around the room that day! Wow! She figured it out all in one day! So of course, we had to check-out her crawling skills before she went to bed! She's been on the move ever since and we are quickly learning how to baby-proof! Right now there is a large plant sitting on our kitchen table and the couch is blocking the walkway to the stairs! Makayla can spot any type of cord, string, or strap from across the room! And she enjoys playing with anything that is NOT a toy!

We took Makayla to dinner at Texas Roadhouse tonight. She sat in a high chair and ate her food and enjoyed looking around. There was background music playing and then all of the sudden the volume increased...Makayla lifted her hands in the air and started bouncing up and down and swaying and laughing/grinning! She was having a blast dancing to the music! And we got some entertainment as we ate our dinner!

Happy Easter!

So these are a little late getting posted, but Makayla had a fun Easter. Here's a photo of her in her Easter dress and opening some of her Easter gifts!

Almost on the Move....

Makayla is so close to crawling. She can roll around and can scoot/rotate on her stomach. She mostly goes backwards when she tries to move. She's gotten "stuck" a few times because she scooted backwards until her leg was caught under the coffee table! Yesterday she figured out how to go from her laying on her stomach to a sitting position. When I went into her bedroom to pick her up from her nap, she was sitting in the corner of her crib and looking all proud of herself! Today she got up on her hands and knees several times! She was even up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth. She gets frustrated because she wants to move, but she just hasn't quite figured it out!

Having Fun

Makayla was having fun knocking over these barrels. She was knocking them over faster than we could stack them up!

New PJ's

Makayla got some new pajamas today. These ones are lighter-weight than her fleece PJ's...but at the rate the weather is going, she won't need these until July! I did try them on her, just to make sure she had some room to grow! Of course, Makayla was more excited by the tags than she was by the new pajamas.
