January Fun

I thought the girls looked so cute in their nightgowns that they got from Uncle Gary and Aunt Sherry!

We've had some unseasonably warm weather and a lack of snow this year!  The girls got to get outside and play in the 40+ degree weather!  Unfortunately, Makayla really wants some snow so that she can go sledding!  We've gotten a little snow since these photos were taken, but it's been pretty cold and windy, so we really only got to go sledding while visiting my family in Michigan...and at that time there was barely enough snow to go sledding!  You can see Makayla's sled in the background....

The girls were snuggled so nicely in our bed watching Mickey Mouse one night!  :)

Here are my 2 princesses after bath time!

Chad and Lydia taking a little nap!  :)

I got to go to a Packer play-off game!  Unfortunately, the Packer's played horribly and lost the game and their chance at the Super Bowl!  Fortunately, I still had a blast with my friends Stef and Julie!  I bundled up in boots, snowpants, and lots of hand and toe warmers and we tailgated outside for several hours before the game!

Neubecker Family Christmas

While in Michigan, we had a party with my Mom's side of the family, the Neubeckers.  Below (Left to Right) is a photo of my Uncle Ron, Aunt Rose, Uncle Joe, Aunt Debbie, Mom, and Dad.   My mom's older sister is Rose and my mom's twin brother is Joe.  It's always great to see them!  Aunt Debbie always spoils us with her yummy fudge!  Unfortunately, none of my 3 cousins were able to make it, but hopefully we can catch up with them sometime this summer!

More Sandoval Family

Here are a few more pix from our Michigan trip!

Playing Zingo with Lauren, Uncle Pat, and Grandma!

Happy 83rd Birthday Grandma Sandoval!  :)  It was great to visit my Grandma!  Grandma was a little under the weather, so we just had a quick Christmas/birthday visit!  Unfortunately, we didn't get to catch up with my Aunt Aleatha and Uncle Jim or my cousins on this trip.

The girls were excited to get these doodlers from Great Grandma Sandoval.  There was a slight spat over the colors of the doodlers because Lydia opened the doodler with the purple on it and Makayla's favorite colors are pink and purple!  Luckily, Lydia seems to love the color yellow, so I was able to finagle a trade and Lydia was happy to get the doodler with the yellow handles!  Phew...crisis averted!  I am continuing to reinforce Lydia's love of yellow since it is NOT one of the colors that Makayla loves!  :)

Sandoval Family Christmas

We traveled to Michigan on the 26th and spent about 5 days visiting my side of the family!  Below is a photo of the girls opening some gifts from Grandma and Grandpa.

The girls received a Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and they were very excited!  Both of them are huge fans of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and we own several DVD's!

Here's another photo of the girls opening/playing with gifts!  Makayla got a fun zoo game too and we enjoyed playing that together!

My brother Jeff and sister-in-law Monica and brother Steve and sister-in-law Emily were not able to be in Michigan over Christmas, so we set-up Skype and opened gifts with them over the internet!  Wow!  Isn't modern technology awesome!!  :)

Here's my other brother Pat and my parents!

Pat's girlfriend, Lauren, visited for a few days too!  They made us some yummy pizza one night and Lauren always takes great photos of the girls!  :)

Christmas Day

Here's our tree after Santa stopped by!  :)  We spent Christmas day at home with just Chad, the girls, and me!  It was a nice relaxing day!

Here are the girls opening their gifts!  Makayla loved opening all of her gifts!  Lydia opened a few gifts and then was content to play with her new toys!  Makayla "helped' Lydia with the last of her gifts because Makayla couldn't stand to have unopened gifts under the tree!  I ended up hiding a few of Lydia's unopened gifts once I realized she had no interest in opening them!  I'll save them for her birthday or some other occasion!

Here's Makayla getting excited about something she is opening.  Lydia is playing with her absolute favorite toy of the day...the Loving Family Dollhouse van.  Her second favorite toy of the day was the little baby that fits inside it!  This has caused several sisterly fights since this toy was Makayla's gift!  I'm not sure if Lydia truly loves this toy or if she really thinks it's hers.  She was helping me wrap Makayla's gifts and got to play with this van before I wrapped it, so she may think that it belongs to her!

Lydia opened a gift that Makayla wrapped for her!  It contained toys from the basement and included this toy bathtub, which Lydia thought was a phone!  I can't remember why Lydia had her PJ's unzipped at this point....

Here's Lydia trying on her new dress-up clothes.  She didn't quite understand that this skirt goes "over" her normal clothes!

We managed to get some clothes on Lydia and then she tried out Makayla's new princess shoes!

Evers Family Christmas

We celebrated Christmas with the Evers side of the family on the 24th!  We had a yummy brunch, opened gifts, and just hung out!  We also celebrated Braden's 5th birthday and Brielle's 4th birthday!  Chad and I were able to sneak away to 4pm mass, so that allowed us to have the day at home with the girls on Christmas day!

Below are the girls sitting and waiting for their gifts!  I forgot to take a nice photo of them in their Christmas dresses, so these photos are the best I have!

Below are Addison, Makayla, and Eric.  Eric was sooooo excited when he opened up his Thomas the Train gifts!

First Snow and Christmas Prep!

Here's Makayla helping me wrap gifts and arrange them under the tree!  She kept asking to help wrap her own presents!  LOL

Here's our first snowfall...just enough to go play outside!
