Makayla likes to hold her little sister and we tried to get a photo of her giving Lydia a kiss! She has also learned to say Lydia! We just need to watch out because Makayla isn't very gentle!

Lydia likes to sleep on her side, not her back. She can also roll over to her side all by herself if she squirms enough.

Springtime Weather

Last week we had beautiful weather all week! This happened to be the week Chad was off of work to help with Lydia, so we enjoyed lots of playtime outside and grilled some chicken and burgers! We had a very fun week!

Breakfast with Makayla

One morning I turned my back and Makayla crawled up on the table and into Lydia's bouncy seat! Hmmm...so much for thinking Lydia is "safe" from Makayla when she's up on the table!
Makayla still likes to wear her life jacket around the house! She also has developed a need for a pacifier! And she likes to "cry" when the pacifier falls out of her mouth. Then she wants Chad or me to pick it up and put it back in her mouth!

One morning I was trying to give Makayla some extra attention, so I made her pancakes and colored them purple, which is one of her favorite colors! Makayla really had no interest in the pancakes, but I enjoyed them with some bananas, pecans, and syrup! I had to peel one open so you could see just how purple it was!

Makayla's Springtime Fun

Makayla has enjoyed getting outside the past week. A few days ago she spotted her life jacket hanging in the garage and decided she needed to wear it around for a while! I guess she's excited to go for a boat ride this summer!

Lydia Going Home From the Hospital

Here is the bulletin board that announces the March births at the hospital. We took a photo of Lydia's lamb! The hospital will mail us this lamb at the end of the month and it will go in Lydia's scrapbook!

Lydia had several visitors at the hospital! We didn't get photos of everyone, but here are a few photos that we did get!
Makayla had fun with some new toys and a few that she brought from home! She also had fun playing with Grandpa's camera!

She also liked the new double stroller that I found on Craig's list. Grandma cleaned it up for us and then gave Makayla a test drive!

Makayla had fun playing out in the snow on her sled! Now that we've been getting outside more, all the snow is melting! Makayla doesn't understand the the sled won't work on the grass!

Makayla normally hates us brushing her hair! However, one day at daycare, she wanted her hair in pigtails! She looked so cute (and so much older)!
Here's my belly at 39.5 weeks! Lydia was born the next day!

Lydia Rose Evers

Lydia was born at 1:43pm on 3-4-2010! She weighed 6 lbs, 13 oz and was 19.5 inches long. She is doing very well! Mom and Lydia are looking forward to going home today!
