Beau

Deacon Gary at our church has a puppy named Beau who he brings to his office routinely.  Beau is such a well-behaved puppy and our kids have gotten pretty used to visiting Beau and petting him and feeding him dog treats.  (Normally, our kids, especially the girls, are very nervous and afraid around dogs.)  The girls had been nagging for a dog of their own because they had such good experiences visiting Beau.  So when Deacon Gary asked us to puppy-sit one day, the kids nagged me to say "yes".  Of course, how could I say no?!?  So our kids had their first experience of puppy-sitting!!

Here are a few photos of the kids visiting Beau!

Here are the kids puppy-sitting Beau!  Lydia was a little nervous at first, but she warmed up to him.  Makayla was gung-ho at first, but after Beau ran off towards the neighbor's dog and then started jumping and barking, Makayla got a little spooked.  Logan just had a blast!  He couldn't wait to pooper-scoop and when the time came, he happily picked up the poop in a little baggie!!!  Overall, Beau was a good puppy and the kids had a great exposure to dogs!

An extra bonus that day, the ice cream truck stopped by!!

More June Fun

Makayla earned the Good News award for 2nd grade.  This is an award that is for the class member who is displays behavior most like Jesus!  Makayla had been very naughty at home that morning, so it was a bit ironic that she earned the award that day!  I'm happy she behaves so well in school and that she earned such a nice award!

Pool fun!  Even Chad got in on the fun!

More water fun!  This just doesn't look comfy...

Caught a shot of Lydia reading to Logan!

This is what happens when you throw a tantrum at bedtime!  You end up naked and asleep during time-out!

Just chillin'...

Happy Father's Day!

A series of art boards!  I was several board behind, so I got the art up, snapped a photo, and took it down again!  We left our favorites on the board for the summer!

This little man has no fear!

The art studio for the girls' summer art class at Blue J Studio in Little Chute.  This was a neat class and the girls had a blast!

Outside fun!

A very smart rabbit chewed our fence and then feasted on our garden!!!  Grrr!!! Time for metal chicken-wire!

Morning snuggles at the cottage!

Logan is looking pretty relaxed here...

Grandma and Grandpa visiting!

The girls spent hours preparing a doll birthday party!

June Fun

Here are a couple photos from Vacation Bible School.  This was the first year our church has had one in as long as I can remember.  The girls went and they had a blast!!!  It was such a neat event!

We visited my college friend, Debbie, in Steven's Point!  We went to a park and the kids had a blast swimming and jumping off this bridge into the river!  I had a blast catching up with Debbie!
