Beau

Deacon Gary at our church has a puppy named Beau who he brings to his office routinely.  Beau is such a well-behaved puppy and our kids have gotten pretty used to visiting Beau and petting him and feeding him dog treats.  (Normally, our kids, especially the girls, are very nervous and afraid around dogs.)  The girls had been nagging for a dog of their own because they had such good experiences visiting Beau.  So when Deacon Gary asked us to puppy-sit one day, the kids nagged me to say "yes".  Of course, how could I say no?!?  So our kids had their first experience of puppy-sitting!!

Here are a few photos of the kids visiting Beau!

Here are the kids puppy-sitting Beau!  Lydia was a little nervous at first, but she warmed up to him.  Makayla was gung-ho at first, but after Beau ran off towards the neighbor's dog and then started jumping and barking, Makayla got a little spooked.  Logan just had a blast!  He couldn't wait to pooper-scoop and when the time came, he happily picked up the poop in a little baggie!!!  Overall, Beau was a good puppy and the kids had a great exposure to dogs!

An extra bonus that day, the ice cream truck stopped by!!
