Birthday Cake - Round 2

We saved Makayla's birthday cake and let her eat more of it today! She seemed to like it a little better than on Thursday, but really didn't eat that much! I guess she doesn't have a sweet tooth. That's okay, Mom and Dad finished it off for her!

We went outside this afternoon to get some fresh air and Makayla ended up playing in the pool with the girls next door! It was a spur-of-the-moment swim, so she had her clothes and diaper on! After swimming, her diaper was completely water-logged...her butt looked about 4 times as large as normal!

Happy 1st Birthday Makayla - Opening Gifts

Makayla had fun opening a few gifts earlier in the day, but as she got tired, she didn't seem as interested in the gifts! Good thing she has lots of cousins who helped her! :)

Happy 1st Birthday Makayla - The cake

Makayla turned 1 on Sunday, 8-2-09. We celebrated her birthday on Thursday with the Evers and Grandpa and Grandma Sandoval. Makayla didn't seem too excited about her cake...she picked at it for a few minutes and then wanted to throw it over the tray of her high chair!

Vacation at the Evers' Family Cabin

Makayla learned a few tricks last week when we were up North! She learned to give Papa "five", she learned to climb up and down the step, and she went from taking 1-2 steps to walking across the room! She also had fun on the boat with Nana and Grandma and had fun in the lake!

Merry-Go-Round

Chad's company picnic was at the zoo in Green Bay. We took Makayla on the Merry-Go-Round and she seemed to like it.

A tornado hit!

Makayla likes to play in the cupboards...she had a blast one night as she stormed through the kitchen! At least it kept her entertained for a while.
